This is just a page to outline all the things I do to support founders in the startup community. I have some active angel and LP investments (in stealth). Will share more later.
Here’s a table outlining everything I do:
| What I can offer help with… | How it can be helpful… |
|---|---|
| Getting your first few customers | You’re an early stage founder and want to learn more about founder-led sales, and/or need intros to customers in my network |
| Discussing my PearX experience | You’re thinking about accelerator programs like Neo, YC, PearX, a16z speedrun, or Sequoia Arc. |
| Cutting you a small angel check ($1K-$5K) | This is usually a function of whether or not I can connect you with other investors in my network |
| Determining if/when you should raise money | You don’t know what the TAM of your market is actually based on unit-economics, or if you want feedback on whether VCs hate your market. You’re business may also be a good candidate for a rollup approach if you’re looking to raise money. |
| Piloting your product (potentially through Beacon Software) | I pilot products myself personally, but at Beacon, I’m always looking at products to help automate workflows across finance, operations, GTM, product, and engineering to support our various teams. If it’s a valuable tool, we can explore that for Beacon as a holding company or one of our portfolio companies. |
| Embedding AI for GTM, Product, and Engineering Automations | You’re looking at AI tools to augment your workflows. I’m constantly piloting tools and always have recommendations. |
| Building an outbound GTM motion | Whether you are a solo founder or raised some money (pre-seed/seed), and need help with building a sales motion for outbound, I can help, especially given how email conversion rates are abysmal today. |
| Building an inbound GTM motion | SEO, and now GEO, is such an underutilized method for businesses to generate leads. I can help with connecting you to great agencies that specialize in this. |
| Building customer success playbooks | Account management and solutions engineering have changed a lot post-AI, and there’s a number of great tools to allow teams to focus more on sales, and leverage a small CSM team to handle existing customers. Happy to help here! |
| Refining your pitch deck | If you’re looking to fundraise for pre-seed or seed, happy to review your deck! |
| Introductions to VCs, PE firms, other startups, and family offices | I have a small network of VCs, PE firms, and family offices I talk to. Happy to make intros depending on where your traction is. |
| Finding your first couple deals as a new VC/PE firm | If you are an emerging fund manager either in PE or VC, but you have great operator experience, I’m happy connect you to some really smart founders in my network who are fundraising. |
| Reviewing your technology strategy | There’s still a number of areas where building software by hand is still valuable - security, data, and integrations. Happy to help with striking a balance on when to leverage LLMs vs. not. |
| Connecting startup founders, search funders, and AI enthusiasts | Especially in vertical markets, there’s an interesting collision occurring between acquiring mid-market assets, building amazing software, and leveraging LLM automations to reduce man-hours of work and improve OpEx. Happy to connect folks in these spaces together! |
| Fractional PM Services | I started my career as a PM, and I look at everything from a product angle, so happy to be helpful in reviewing any feature documentation, roadmaps, and be helpful however I can here. |
| M&A as a lever for Growth | This is such an untapped lever for growth, and I encourage more companies to do this, especially if they are profitable and have cash on their balance sheets. |
| Building Revenue, GTM, and Product Teams | I’ve developed a few AI-native playbooks for this, so happy to share if there’s interest! |
| Building Fund Theses | VC is changing drastically. If you’re only looking to fund AI B2B SaaS, don’t talk to me. I’m interested in talking to folks interested in investing in network efforts, consumer AI, deeply technical products, building data moats, and full stack vertical businesses. |
